CrossFit Endurance Certified!!

Pictured Above: CrossFit Central Coaches with Brian Mackenzie and Carl Borg from CrossFit Endurance

(from the words of Jess)
Well, I am CrossFit Endurance Certified! I had a great time this weekend with my fellow coaches learning the POSE running technique, how to train and program for endurance athletes using the CrossFit method, fine tuning nutrition, injury prevention, the appropriate running shoes, skills and drills, myofascial release and stretches, the list goes on.

We were video tapped doing 400m runs within the first hour that we arrived at the certification. Then again the 2nd day to compare our technique after we were taught the POSE method and I improved my running by 30%! That is a huge difference in only 2 days! It still feels a little awkward changing the style of my running after that is all I've known for 20+ years and having to be conscious about the way I move. But with practice I think it will feel more natural and help me to become faster and more efficient.

The CrossFit Endurance community teaches a different approach to endurance training which completely makes sense to me. Basically if you use CrossFit as your strength and conditioning program you will be a MUCH better athlete, runner, swimmer, biker than just training in that one sport alone. CrossFit is hands down the best conditioning program out there and if you want to get serious about whatever sport you are in, CrossFit is the way to go.

Feel free to ask me any questions, tips or advice from what I have learned this past weekend. I'd be happy to share. Stay tuned for our upcoming CrossFit Endurance Programs!!!

I want to get involved with CF, especially CF endurance. How can I get started without a CF gym by me?
