Over this past weekend I attended a Annual Austin Festival called Eeyore's Birthday. I showed up in full circus gear with parallettes, poi, hoops, and more... with my only goal of the day was to get my circus freak on in full bloom!! The pics below are what I have found of me randomly on the net. I imagine more will pop up here and there... If you find a pic of me in action(from Eeyores this year.) If you send it to me I will give you something special...
If anyone has any pics/video of when I was in the "hand balance battle" with the b-boy or anything circus skill related -please feel free to share...

On Wednesday the 29th at 6:45am and 7pm I will be leading Partner Balance classes. , Partner Balance blends the spiritual wisdom of yoga, the loving kindness of Thai massage, and the dynamic power of Acrobatics. These three ancient lineages form the foundation of a unique new practice that cultivates trust, connection and playfulness. Our highest aim is to bring individuals into a state of union with themselves, with each other, and with the divine. From this place of mutual support the true self can be realized, honored and shared for the benefit of all.
All are welcome reguardless of age, or fitness level. NO experience necessary! Everyone will leave glowing- guranteed!!!
Our free monthly workouts are a great for experienced CrossFitters to bring out their friends and to let them experience what it is they do on a regular basis, or for the new person who has heard of CF or has seen the army of bootcampers who line up each month Under The Bridge and get a dose. Either way show up and rock it out. We always have a blast as we explore the world of functional fitness and unleach our human potential.
Clip of a WOD at CrossFit Central on any given day...
My name is Randal Setzler and I am a CrossFit addict. I train as often as my body will allow. I put a great deal of focus on nutrition and recovery. I love thinking outside the box at our box and at my bootcamps. My random hoppers include- WODs, parkour, kettlebells, parallettes, horse vaulting, partner acrobatics, ect.. Maybe I took phrases like "routine is the enemy" "specialize in not specializing" "regularly practise and learn new sports" and "do one thing each day that scares you" a little too literally. Any rhabdo and hand rips aside... I train with the greatest community possible, I am actively linked to a global fitness revolution/phenomenon. I can not call any of my classes or personal training "work" as I truly love and look forward to every session and every person that I work with. I thank you all for you all bring so much joy into my life. We are changing lives and unleashing potential. Everyday is magik. I love being a part of it all. Maybe that is why I can't stop training...
Enrolling in a Parkour Elements sessions is required as a prerequisite to be able to enroll in any of CrossFit Central's Parkour classes. Elements are personal training where we will cover the basic movements in a controlled environment. You will receive personal attention so that when you train outdoors you will feel more confident having already laid your foundation in the gym. Feel free to contact me with any questions and/or concerns about getting you started.
New workout brings action-packed leaps "Parkour" is part of a new workout class
Kate Weidaw AUSTIN (KXAN) - Action movies are known for their scenes with the big foot chases.
While movie magic may make the action stand out, it turns out that type of running can actually be done by almost anyone. It's called " Parkour ," and here in Austin, it's part of a new workout class.
"Parkour is the art of getting from point A to point B, wherever that may be, using only human potential to prepare yourself through any given landscape," said Randal Setzler, a Parkour instructor.
Setzler teaches Parkour here in Austin.
"It's almost like chess and how you think three or four moves ahead, you know," said Setzler. "By the time you're at your first vault, you're already seeing what your next three or four steps are going to be."
The idea is to continually move through a landscape by jumping, vaulting and rolling to get to your destination. Not even a 10-foot wall can get in the way.
"You see a 10-foot wall climb and you think, 'There is no way I can do it,'" said Aaron Arehart, a Parkour participant. "And then he'll show you how to do it."
On YouTube , there are all sorts of examples of extreme Parkour , from flips to jumping across buildings. That's what got Parker Sheridan, 11, interested in it.
"I saw it on the Internet, and I thought it looked really cool," said Parker.
While he's not doing anything extreme, his parents are OK with the sport, since it is a good workout. After you learn the technique, you should be able to escape from just about anything.
"We find some way to overcome any obstacle that we experience," said Setzler
New Bootcamp Location has opened up at Brentwood Park. We meet every Tues/Thur. 5:30-6:30am under the tarp. Contact me with questions about how to get started and commit to get fit!
On my birthday some of my bootcampers approached me with this. It is a cut-out of me handbalancing atop Scootaloo. You can notice she has been branded with the CCs and is quite the thoroughbred... I loved it and Scootaloo accompanied me the rest of the day! thanx ya'll
This past weekend I did a little photoshoot with Robert Miller. Robert attends the Kettlebell Unlimited class at 12:15. We often motiviate and push each other in class but on ths adventure he got to work his magik behind the camera and I got to get my jump on... Check out Robert's site at desert rain pictures ... and yes that is me with the Rabbit head on (in the RAN album)...
Here's a little sample of what all went on at the Austn Rodeo. I was fortunate enough to compete and to perform with my posse of Lone Star Vaulters. I walked away with 2 medals, a ribbon, and lots of smiles. A big thanks goes out to the Kepler family for coming out supporting one of thier favorite fitness weirdos doing his thing!
